Feeling Mindful Labs ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how your personal information is collected, used, and disclosed when you use Simple Rituals.
By using Simple Rituals, you signify that you have read, understood, and agree to our collection, storage, use, and disclosure of your personal information as described in this Privacy Policy.
Definitions
- Company: Feeling Mindful Labs LLC, (United States)
- Device: Any internet-connected device such as a phone, tablet, or computer used to access Simple Rituals
- Personal Data: Any information that allows for the identification of a natural person
- Service: The Simple Rituals application and related services
What Information Do We Collect?
We collect the following information when you use Simple Rituals:
- A pseudonymous user ID created by Firebase Authentication so your data can be stored and retrieved
- Your email address if you choose to link your account using Sign in with Apple or Google
- Ritual content and configuration, including titles, descriptions, time windows, ordering, and selected ritual pack
- Completion and progress history associated with your user ID
- Purchase history, product identifiers, transaction status, and Pro entitlement status
- Crash reports, error details, app and device information, and performance measurements
Information Stored Only on Your Device
The following information stays on your device and is not transmitted to us:
- Notification preferences and the schedule used for local reminder notifications
- Whether you have completed onboarding
Device Permissions
Simple Rituals may request access to the following device features:
- Notifications — to schedule ritual reminders locally on your device
You can manage these permissions at any time in your device's Settings.
How Do We Use Your Information?
- To authenticate you and provide, sync, restore, and personalize your rituals and progress
- To validate purchases, restore Pro access, prevent purchase fraud, and understand purchase performance
- To diagnose crashes, errors, and performance problems and improve app reliability
- To respond to support, privacy, and deletion requests
Third-Party Services
Simple Rituals uses the following third-party services:
- Google Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore — anonymous or linked account authentication and cloud storage
- RevenueCat — in-app purchase validation, entitlement management, purchase analytics, and restoration
- Sentry — crash reporting, error monitoring, and performance diagnostics
- Apple App Store and StoreKit — payment processing and purchase records
- Sign in with Apple — optional account linking
Each third-party service has its own privacy policy governing the use of your information.
Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with third-party service providers solely to operate Simple Rituals (e.g., authentication, cloud storage, crash reporting). We may also disclose information if required by law.
Data Retention
We retain cloud-hosted ritual, completion, account, and purchase-entitlement data while you use Simple Rituals. Ritual and completion data is deleted when you use Delete account in the app or when we complete a verified deletion request for a linked account. Apple, Firebase, RevenueCat, and Sentry may retain limited transaction, security, backup, or diagnostic records according to their policies and legal obligations.
Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. However, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your Rights
- Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Correction: Request correction of inaccurate personal data
- Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data
- Portability: Request transfer of your data to another service
Anonymous accounts have no email. Delete your rituals, completion history, local app data, and the account itself from Settings → Delete account. For access, correction, portability, or deletion of a remaining linked-account record, contact privacy@feelingmindful.com. The data deletion request page can only verify accounts that have an email on file.
Children's Privacy
Simple Rituals is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will remove it.
App Stores
Simple Rituals is distributed through the Apple App Store and/or Google Play. The terms and privacy policies of Apple and Google also apply to your use of the app. We are solely responsible for Simple Rituals and its content — Apple and Google have no obligation to provide maintenance or support.
In-App Purchases
Simple Rituals offers an optional, one-time, non-consumable Pro purchase billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play. It is not an auto-renewing subscription. RevenueCat processes purchase and entitlement records, while the app store processes payment information. We do not receive your payment card details. Refund requests must be directed to the store where you made the purchase.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the app or by email. Continued use of Simple Rituals after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
Governing Law
This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the United States. You consent to the jurisdiction of the courts located in Travis County, Texas for any disputes arising under this policy.
